King of Sweden is a Finnish Progressive Rock band, founded in late 2019 by guitarist and singer Sampsa Nelimarkka, drummer Janne Savela and bass player Erkka Heinilä. They will release their debut album “The Training” digitally via Crusader Records on October 1, 2021.
King of Sweden’s debut album combines deeply rooted Prog Rock with fresh energy and attitude. “The Training” is a strong combination of a vintage and modern sound, containing skilful riffs and energetic guitar playing, as well as smooth prog ballads. The result is an irresistible journey through dreamy visions and magical atmospheres.
King of Sweden are heavily influenced by the 70’s Prog Rock glory days, but also bring a modern day Prog feel to their craft, creating an interesting and intricate tapestry.
