Halifax, UK based Post-Rock outfit L.O.E. has unveiled a music video for the first single and title track of their new EP “Secret Societies Rule The World,” out this Friday, November 25th, 2022 via Hopeful Tragedy Records. Watch the video through the YouTube player below:
The “Secret Societies Rule The World” EP features two contrasting songs that aim to illuminate the best and worst of humanity. From the depths of despair, frustration and disillusionment we find the brightest and boldest moments of human connection, faith and determination. The EP is a look in to the light and dark that can be found in every corner of our world. The darkness can overcome us all at times but where you find the strength and the courage to look, you will find the light again.
The EP combines song’s that carry moments of grief, anger, frustration, hope and togetherness. Both songs tell different stories but feel like an important combination as they reflect how important communion is.
Everyday we wake up to corruption, lies and despair. The news fills our hearts and our heads with fear and we search for meaning and purpose amongst the noise. At times that search can be overwhelming and the struggle almost too much to carry alone.
We all need an outlet, a chance to be part of something larger than us and an opportunity to open ourselves up to the power of sharing a purpose and finding our light again.
