“The Myth of the Mostrophus” the new solo album from Ryo Okumoto, is out today on InsideOut Music. The six song Prog extravaganza, from the long-time keyboardist for Prog Rock group Spock’s Beard, features Okumoto’s signature style accompanied by the talents of a who’s who of Progressive Rock. InsideOut Music published the official lyric video for the track “Chrysalis,” available through the YouTube player below:
“The Myth of the Mostrophus” is going to come roaring to life for two shows only, in Los Angeles, CA, at Champion Site and Sound on Nov 5th 7 p.m. and 6th 6 p.m. Featuring a hand-picked band of musicians — Jonathan Mover on drums, Marc Bonilla, Joey Frevola and Alan Morse from Spock’s Beard on guitar, Pete Griffin on bass, Kevin Krohn on keys and backing vocals, and my “collabowriter” on the album, Michael Whiteman straight from the U.K. on lead vocals and guitar, this is going to be an unforgettable night of epic music.
“The Myth Of The Mostrophus” will be available in a CD digipak from InsideOut Music, a 2 LP+CD package in black vinyl, a special limited edition 2 LP+CD with transparent red vinyl LPs (limited to 300), plus the Japanese CD edition with 2 bonus tracks.
