Bristol, UK based cinematic Post-Rock/Shoegaze act Life In Mono has released new single and music video “Basic Reality.” Watch the official music video directed and filmed by Michael Brumby through the YouTube player below:
Life In Mono are a Bristol-based band whose dark, immersive sound blends Metal, Post-Rock and Atmospheric textures, drawing influences from Brutus, Portishead, Deftones and PJ Harvey.
Their new EP due early 2025, “If I Could Sleep,” is a haunting exploration of emotional turmoil soundtracked by powerful yet ethereal vocals and music that ranges from crushingly heavy to delicately beautiful.
“Emerging from Bristol’s underground scene, Life In Mono craft a dark, immersive sound that blends brooding atmospheres with raw, grunge-infused energy. Together, they create a haunting mix of PJ Harvey’s intensity, early Placebo’s edge, and Portishead’s moody textures, with a heavier, darker undertone. The result? An immersive soundtrack for a brooding, scandi-noir thriller.”
