
Progressive Rock band Lobate Scarp releases “Our Test Tube Universe” the new single from their upcoming second full-length studio album “You Have It All.” Clocking in at 7:30 minutes, the new song features special guests Ryo Okumoto (Spock’s Beard) on B3 organ, Jimmy Keegan (Spock’s Beard, Pattern-Seeking Animals) on drums, and band members Adam Sears on vocals/ keys, Peter Matuchniak on guitar, and Andy Catt on bass, with additional guitar played by Rich Mouser. Co-Produced Steven Leavitt, and co-produced and mixed by Rich Mouser (Spock’s Beard, Transatlantic, Neal Morse). The track is about a scientist experimenting with quantum forces, not realizing he has created an entire universe, and perhaps he is also in a universe created in the same manner. Watch the

The album “You Have It All,” due out April 1, 2022 is currently taking pre-orders with additional perks on Indiegogo. It will be available in a high-res digital format as well as a limited edition glossy CD-booklet including 16-pages of lyrics, art, and liner notes. The album will also have guest appearances by Billy Sherwood (Yes), Jon Davison (Yes), and Eric Moore (Suicidal Tendencies).
Lobate Scarp, based in Los Angeles, calls themselves a Progressive Opera-Rock band, whose influences range from Classic Prog Rock of the 70’s such as Genesis and Yes, to 80’s pop such as Duran Duran and Tears for Fears, as well as strong ties to musical theater. Their debut “Time and Space” received positive reviews in numerous music publications and online blogs. Progarchy called “Time and Space” “one of the top 13 albums of 2013”. They released an EP in 2019 titled “Spirals and Portals.” The band is scheduled to perform at RoSFest in Sarasota, Florida on April 16, 2022.
