British artist Lola returns after a two-year hiatus with a powerful new single, “I Came Here to Conquer,” marking a gritty and unfiltered comeback. The track blends dirty Psychedelic Rock with a confessional, confrontational edge, dealing with themes of anxiety, self-confrontation, and artistic rebirth.

Mixed and mastered by Jason Shaw of Fuzzface Studios, the single showcases Lola’s signature blend of snarling guitar tones and unrelenting emotional drive.

I’m not brown bread!! Two years, one mental breakdown, one proper job, one home-built recording studio, two maxed-out credit cards, one questionable relationship with alcohol, and three tarot readings later… and I’m back making sweet, sweet, dirty, snarling music!” – the artist states.

Describing “I Came Here to Conquer” as a battle with oneself, Lola explains that the track’s musical structure mirrors the emotional ups and downs of anxiety, surging “from cacophony to cacophony in true Psychedelic Rock fashion.” The hiatus, far from being wasted time, allowed her to reconnect with her earliest influences: Led Zeppelin, T. Rex, The Rolling Stones — the raw, rebellious spirit of Classic Rock.

At some point it dawned on me to revisit my musical roots — rock and roll! That ‘f**k off’ energy of dirty Rock and Roll that fans the flames of your very life force! My Psychedelic leanings are still as strong as ever; they’ve just gotten a little dirtier!

With new fire and a home-recording setup forged in the chaos of reinvention, Lola’s comeback is both personal and sonically potent.
