In Madrid there is a new band. It is formed by Pacomoto (G.A.S. Drummers), Jorge García (Adrift, El Páramo), Víctor Teixeira (Giganto, Another Kind Of Dead) and Raúl Lorenzo (Sou Edipo). Their first album will be called “Piscinas Verticales” and will be released on May 26, 2023. They have released their first single “Boda Final / Velorio“. There are times when musicians with a long career behind them need to write music without any restrictions, just to let out what is inside them, forgetting their past and who they are. The idea of going back to the beginning of everything and playing with automatic writing can always take you to unknown territories.
After two years locked in the rehearsal room creating music without any preconceived ideas, the guys from Loma Baja now present “Boda Final/Velorio” as the first preview of their debut album “Piscinas Verticales,” which will be released on May 26, 2023 – the same day they present it at the Sound Isidro Festival in Madrid – under the umbrella of Spinda Records, in collaboration with Lay Bare Recordings (in the Netherlands), Clostridium Records (in Germany) and Echodelic Records (in the United States) – how we love collaborations!
“Piscinas Verticales,” whose artwork is the work of Ból! Estudio, was recorded live at Metropol Estudios in Madrid by Rafa Camisón, who later mixed it at Estudio 79 (Jerez de la Frontera), before being mastered at Ultramarinos Costa Brava.
