Nobody expected a new band like Loma Baja to make so much noise in the underground with their first single “Boda Final / Velorio,” but they did it and at Spinda Records we love it.
Their debut album, “Piscinas Verticales,” will be available on May 26, 2023 when they will be presenting it live at the Sound Isidro Festival in Madrid (advance tickets here).
Fortunately, today they are giving us a sneak preview of “La Amboscada,” another of the tracks that will be on their debut album and we recommend you listen to it – if you liked the first one, this one will blow your hair back.

With members of G.A.S. Drummers, Adrift, El Páramo, Gentemayor, Soud Edipo, Giganto and Another Kind Of Dead, these guys do something we could define as post-everything in a studio work whose concept revolves around the spontaneous and the surreal, as if it were the soundtrack of your worst nightmare. Their sound goes far beyond labels and genres, although similarities with bands like Beak, Portishead, Fugazi, True Widow or Liars can be sensed.
“Piscinas Verticales,” whose artwork is the work of Ból! Estudio, was recorded live at Metropol Estudios in Madrid by Rafa Camisón, who later mixed it at Estudio 79 (Jerez de la Frontera), before being mastered at Ultramarinos Costa Brava.
“Piscinas Verticales” will be available on May 26, 2023 through a collaboration between Spinda Records (SP), Lay Bare Recordings (NL), Clostridium Records (GE) and Echodelick Records (US) in digital format and in a double vinyl edition, limited to 200 copies in black and 200 copies in blue.
