Stockholm based Heavy Rock megalith Lucifer have publisheded the official promo video for their new single “A Coffin Has No Silver Lining (The Sistine Version),” which is out today via Nuclear Blast Records.
This first single under the roof of their new label sees Lucifer playing to all their strengths. A stunner of a tune that’s reminiscent of mid to late seventies Hard Rock with an irresistibly catchy chorus that will live rent free in your head from now on.
The song arrives just in time for Lucifer‘s upcoming European shows with Ghost.
The video directed by Emil Klinta features a few snippets from the recording session and some great super 8 footage of foggy trainyards with vintage railway carriages and locomotives as well as the band trying their luck at a selection of classic pinball machines, including – of course – a KISS one.

Since its inception in 2014, the highly prolific band led by charismatic singer Johanna Platow Andersson has released four electrifying albums and several stand-alone singles infused with 1970s Hard Rock, Proto-Metal, Doom and Occult Rock, with a nod to their main influences such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Blue Öyster Cult, Heart & Fleetwod Mac.
They have played about 200 shows in the US, Canada, Japan and Europe, including the KISS Kruise, Psycho Las Vegas, Hellfest, Wacken, MetalDays, Sweden Rock and Desertfest and two of their shows have been recorded and broadcasted by prestigious German national TV program Rockpalast. Lucifer have been nominated twice for a Swedish Grammy in the category “Best Hardrock/Metal Album” and they have graced the cover of the leading US Metal magazine, Decibel.
