[News] Malo Moray & His Inflatable Knee launch LP pre-orders and first single from upcoming “Atolls”

German Experimental Jazz/Krautrock project Malo Moray & His Inflatable Knee launch LP pre-orders and first single “The Clouds, They Move So Slow” from upcoming album “Atolls” due out on September 19, 2023. Purcgase and Stream the track on Bandcamp:

The artist says on the track:

I am really stoked to introduce THE CLOUDS, THEY MOVE SO SLOW to you!
This first release from my upcoming album ATOLLS encapsulates what fascinates me so much about Music and the human existence:

Such as clouds, Music is untouchable, but clearly present and can have such a strong impact on us. Music and clouds are pretty much resonances on varying layers of energy – just as we people are. Resonances in a specific moment in space and time.

THE CLOUDS, THEY MOVE SO SLOW captures that feeling of oneness in 24 minutes of improvised music between Ambient, Krautrock and Avantgarde Jazz. Mixed and mastered by Grammy awardee Marc Urselli who made the piece as spectacular as possible.

But wait! There’s more! I also just opened the vinyl presale for ATOLLS off which CLOUDS is taken. Vinyl? YES! Inflatable Knee vinyl! ATOLLS will release as a 2-LP + MC in various color variants!

This album is a celebration of curiosity and trust.
During 2020 and 2021 I composed numerous pieces in my studio – poured my heart and soul out to music in challenging times. I sent these improvisations to other musicians whom I trusted. No instruction given but to record only one take, following their intuition.

Composing is just putting the right people in the right place.” – John Zorn

The right people were in the right place. This odd situation of not-being-together created a powerful mediated togetherness; opened spaces for the sceneries, meditations, musical paintings, outbursts, contemplations of this album – Atolls of human beings expressing themselves through music in times of separation. This album unites 5 of these comforting and wild territories – in an adventurous piece of art that funnels our curious approach in music into visible form – driven by the spirit of music.

Enjoy the ride,” – Malo

This album is dedicated to my grandmother who was the most curious listener I ever knew. And to my dear friend Ariella who trusted my musical self long before I did.
