[News] Maragda presents a first single “The Reckless” taken from their new EP

A year after the release of their debut album and just before their first European tour, the guys from Maragda decided to record a live session to capture their most direct sound and the tremendous energy that the band had been showing in their live performances.

The result is a live EP composed of 2 new tracks in which the Catalan trio formed by Guillem (guitar, vocals), Xavi (drums, vocals) and Marçal (bass, vocals) show us two visions of what they understand by psychedelia. While in “The Reckless” they mix elements of Garage Rock and Heavy Psych to tell the story of a disturbed individual who could be any of us; in “Evil Seed” they show us an exercise of Neo-Psychedelia with a very classic riff in which someone becomes a dead tree after eating a seed.

The live session for “The Reckless/Evil Seed” was recorded at Cal Gravat on November 6, 2022 by Martí and Marc G. (video) and Marçal S. and Joan R. (audio); counting with Marçal Itarte in the mixing and mastering.

Although both a first preview and the pre-order are already available, it won’t be until June 2nd that the EP will be released in digital format and in a limited edition of 300 7-inch vinyls through Spinda Records and Nafra Records.

In August they will be presenting it live on a European tour that will take them to Spain, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and Germany, where they will perform at the mythical Krach am Bach festival.
