Austrian Flash Rock duo Meat Cheese have officially signed with Octopus Rising, the imprint of Argonauta Records dedicated to emerging and adventurous artists. With the new partnership comes the announcement of their upcoming second album, “Solstice,” and the release of its title track as the band’s first single.
“Solstice” introduces the next chapter of Meat Cheese with uplifting lyrics, twisted grooves and powerful vocals, combining the duo’s distinctive Progressive approach with their instinctive sense of groove and Rock’n’Roll energy.

Founded in 2019 in the Tyrolean Alps by Gregor Lindner on bass and vocals and Michael Posch on drums and vocals, Meat Cheese describe their sound as Flash Rock / Progressive Stoner Rock. The duo have established themselves as an energetic live act, with their performances leaving plenty of space for improvisation and spontaneous interaction.
Their live journey has seen them share stages with internationally renowned acts including Crowbar, El Perro, Kadabra, Mother’s Cake, and The Cosmic Dead, while their music has received radio airplay across Europe and appearances on Austrian television.
Following their debut album “Fromage en Extase,” released in 2022 via TwoEleven Records, and the 2023 single “Moanin Acoustic,” Meat Cheese now return with a sound that pushes their songwriting further without abandoning the groove driven spirit at the heart of the duo.
Recorded at High Mountain Records Studio and Innside Sound Studio in Austria, “Solstice” sees Meat Cheese exploring more complex songwriting ideas while maintaining their characteristic combination of powerful low frequencies, psychedelic elements and infectious Rock’n’Roll momentum.
There is no formula behind Meat Cheese. Their music is a constantly evolving collision of bass, drums, vocals, grooves and improvisation, delivered with an unmistakable sense of freedom.
