Teonanácatl, the burgeoning Progressive Rock force hailing from Mexico City, is proud to announce the official release of their latest single, “Tloque Nahuaque,” now available worldwide. Founded in 2023, the band continues to refine their signature blend of Progressive and Psychedelic Rock, establishing themselves as a vital name in the modern Latin American Progressive scene.
Released on July 9, 2026, “Tloque Nahuaque” serves as a spiritual and sonic exploration, dedicated “to the Infinite Source, from which everything arises and to which everything returns.” The track features a complex, multi-layered arrangement brought to life by a diverse lineup, including Corinne Herrera (Vocals), Adalid Navarro (Congas), Carlos Greko (Sax), Israel Mejia (Bass), Angel David Trejo (Drums), Evan Wyatt Caravan (Guitar), and Baruch (Keyboards).
The production reflects the band’s commitment to high-fidelity craftsmanship, having been recorded at Coyote Cosmico Studios (by Diego and Aldo Pacheco) and Rec On Studio (by Jorge Trejo), with mixing and mastering handled by Jorge Trejo. The visual identity of the release is further enhanced by striking cover art created by Wohl.
Following their previous acclaimed works, “Lights of The Universe” (January 2024) and their self-titled “Teonanácatl” (October 2024), this new single marks a significant step forward in the band’s discography. With lyrics invoking the ancient “Tlacatlé, tloquee nahuaquee,” the band bridges ancestral themes with contemporary Progressive structures.
