Formed in Liège, Belgium in 2017, Diluvian, comprising Jonathan Renard, Wolfgang Bormans, Antoine Pernot, Simon Lhoir, and Tom Selmi, have built a sonic identity bridging incisive, technical guitar work with expansive ambient atmospheres. Following their 2023 debut EP “Bivalence,” the band’s second record “Resilience” marks a continuation of their Modern Metalcore and Progressive Metal sound.
The single “Labyrinth” pairs sophisticated riffing with visceral lyrical themes of mental isolation, self-created imprisonment, and internal chaos. The accompanying music video was filmed and edited by Alice J. videography.
On the technical and production front, the track features mixing by Jim Pinder and mastering by Ste Kerry. Drum tracking and editing were handled by Laurent Eyen at Koko Records, with additional vocal editing by Nicolas Pirlet.
