[News] Morphide release the tour video of “Akeneo”

Morphide is an alternative Metal/Progressive Metal female fronted band currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in June 2019, they have since released 3 original music videos and 4 covers of bands like Jinjer and Infected Rain, with their version “I Speak Astronomy” coming out on MetalSucks. The band is made up of two main composers, Chris and Eissa, whose main inspiration are bands such as Tesseract, Karnivool, Northlane and Spiritbox.

Presentation of the single:

“Akeneo” is the band’s fourth single and, so far, the most complicated in terms of voice. Eissa is at the center of the stage with her breathtaking range, showing both her clean high quality voice with a hint of distortion on the highest notes and thundering screams. As an emphasis on the voice, an instrumental part, completely composed by Chris, is different and offers heavy streams, crisp riffs and mesmerizing tones. The song has this feeling of melancholy, which alternates with aggression and inspiration, supporting surprisingly deep lyrics.

“Sometimes people get into the circle of melancholy and self-pity, which they can’t break, and even if they realize it’s all wrong, they still aren’t able to make changes on their own,” says Morphide. “While waiting for someone to do the” dirty work “and help them, they are actually in an endless cycle of misery.”

The Akeneo music video was shot during the Wild Spirit tour in November 2019, covering four countries, such as Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic. The song was mixed and mastered by Myroslav Borys-Smith at Jigsaw Audio.
