“Patterns” is a report from the darkest days of Covid, a melancholy song which combines Motorpsycho’s trademark dense walls of guitar with naked lyrics sung with unusual tenderness by someone who’s been there and understands the words. Heightened by fantastic retro-futuristic, neo-psychedelic production work by Reine Fiske (Dungen), this is a song to drown in.
