Waste a Saint is a Rock band based in Trondheim, Norway. They released their debut album “Hypercarnivore” in 2022, followed by “Ravenous” in 2024. Their third album, “…And It’s Evergreen,” began to take shape in 2024 and is ready for release on April 10, 2026. During the song writing process, former drummer Øivind jumped ship and
the search for a new drummer began simultaneously writing new material.
The new man behind the kit, Trym Solan Renolen immediately embraced the role — and with him came the energy, direction, and the belief that the third album would become even better than the previous two. He was a new beginning, not merely a member replacement.
“ …And It’s Evergreen” is shaped by new impulses, new people, a new rehearsal space, and new instruments, but also by a strong desire to do as much as possible by ourselves. The album was recorded in the summer of 2025 at Piir Studio with Vebjørn Svanberg Numme in the control room. Genre-wise, the band is still operating in the borderlands, but with clear roots in stoner rock. There’s weight, there’s space, and there’s friction – but also more dynamics and air than before. An enormous amount of craftsmanship goes into music. Even more important; it must be joyful, effortless, and fun to create. Music works against its own purpose when it tries to push an agenda, to compete, or prove something. It should not be proud or ashamed that it exists. When you accept that, new spaces open up. New dynamics.
…And It’s Evergreen.
