Damask is an open music project founded in 2025 in Tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot), Poland by Weno Winter (Sautrus) joined by bassist Adrian Jegorow (Hellvoid, Sautrus). The project’s music pairs the weight of Doom Metal with the intimacy of acoustic compositions and elements of Folk. The band moves between dense low-tuned sound and simple song forms.
The track “All You Need Is” is a Heavy Doom metal reinterpretation of a Roy Harper composition arranged by project leader Weno Winter. Damask provided the classic song with a raw sound and dark space.
“All You Need Is” previews the first Damask album. Release date: May 2026.
The Damask formula is based on a lack of rigid stylistic boundaries and collaboration with guest musicians. The lineup is selected based on the character of the specific material. The debut album features musicians including Krystian Papiernik (Stare Urge, Sautrus), Adrian Kondratowicz, and Jakub Modrzejewski (Soma). In mid-2025, Adrian Jegorow joined the lineup as a permanent bassist.
Lineup:
Weno Winter / Vocals, Synthesizers, Electric and Acoustic Guitar
Adrian Jegorow / Bass Guitar
