Tavira, Portugal based Epic Doom Metal band On The Loose celebrates the release of their third album “Path To Serenity” with a brand new music video for “Echoes Of Glory.”

“Echoes Of Glory” showcases the band at their most cinematic yet. Frontman Rick (ex-Ironsword, ex-Ravensire; currently with Els Focs Negres) delivers hauntingly intense vocals, while Marco Marouco’s colossal guitar riffs, JP Ventura’s thunderous drums, and Toni Cagaita’s commanding bass anchor the track in epic heaviness. The video, produced by Paulão Vieira (The Limit, Ironsword, Midnight Priest), brings the song’s grandeur to life with striking visuals and dramatic storytelling.
Fans of Candlemass, Sorcerer, and Paradise Lost will find a home in On The Loose’s dark yet empowering soundscapes. The album “Path To Serenity” offers more of the same: Epic Doom Metal journeys, crushing riffs, soaring melodies, and emotionally charged performances that define the band’s signature style.
The band was established in 2020 by guitarist Marco Marouco, who has performed with Els Focs Negres and Omission, and drummer JP Ventura, also recognised from his work with Dawnrider and The Limit. Their debut album, “On The Loose,” appeared in 2022, followed by “Dark Emotions” in 2023. Each release saw a different vocalist: Flávio Lino on the first and Pedro Fialho Jesus on the second.
For “Path To Serenity,” two new musicians have joined. Rick Thor, known from bands like Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, Ravensire, and Ironsword, takes on vocals, while Toni Cagaita, whose background is in Portuguese Punk, joins on bass. The album was recorded at Paulo Vieira Studio, a location associated with groups such as The Limit and Ironsword.
