Filmed in Germany at a custom car workshop provided by friend of the band Niky Santana (Santana Lackier- & Karosseriezentrum), the visual production for “Perish Twice” captures the raw energy and dynamic execution of the track. Directed, shot, and edited by Mohsen Rashidi alongside photographer/camera operator Pedram Nourazar, the production team transformed the industrial garage space into a controlled night shoot using full light setups, fog, and continuous playback performance.

“Mohsen Rashidi and Pedram Nourazar helped immensely to give the video a professional and dynamic look,” shares drummer Sanjai Shah Hauschild. “We love the final result—it represents AMNÏON perfectly.“

Director Mohsen Rashidi adds:

“Working with AMNÏON on ‘Perish Twice’ was a seamless collaborative experience. Our focus was on capturing the intricate balance between technical aggression and atmospheric space through multi-angle performances and distinct lighting contrasts.“

— A Global Collaboration —

Beyond the music, “Perish Twice” stands as a testament to cross-border artistic synergy. The project brought together musicians and filmmakers across continents, with guitarist Jason Gobel flying in from Miami and bassist Grant Petty traveling from Texas to join their German bandmates and filmmakers Mohsen Rashidi and Pedram Nourazar on set.

“Independent from politics or genres, it is remarkable to bring together people from such diverse international backgrounds—from the US to Iran to Germany—under the roof of Las Vegas-based M-Theory Audio,” notes Sanjai. “It proves how music and art unite individual talent to create something truly unique.”

During the shoot weekend, the band also teamed up with producer Christian “Kohle” Kohlmannslehner (Kohlekeller Studio) to capture dedicated video interviews and extensive behind-the-scenes content, which will be rolled out leading up to the album release.

The artwork for “Perish Twice” was crafted by long-time visual collaborator Athanasios Tsintsaris at Kleon Publishing.

“We wanted to break away slightly from the strict symmetry of our previous art for the album and ‘Onyx Heart’ while maintaining high brand recognition,” Sanjai explains. “The frame and logo retain our core aesthetic, giving ‘Perish Twice’ an elegant look that mirrors the mood of the video.”

Lineup:

— Amnïon Biography —

Our former Technical Thrash Metal band, active since the ’90s, eventually fell apart about five years ago. Gernot and Sanjai were the only remaining members, but refused to stop making music. So, we restarted with renewed energy as a pure Metal rhythm project, driven solely by our passion for music, unrestricted by genres.

As the project expanded, we were fortunate to collaborate with amazing musicians, beginning with our longtime band brother Matthias Hechler (former guitarist of Crematory, one of Germany’s pioneering gothic metal bands blending death metal with darkwave and industrial influences).

We were thrilled when Jason Gobel (former Cynic guitarist and a true legend, not only revered in Florida and the U.S. but also enjoying a strong fanbase across Europe, known also for his work Monstrosity, Portal and Gordian Knot) reached out. Finally, singer Grant Petty (Synkronizity, North Point Drive) from Texas joined the lineup and even visited us in Germany to write lyrics and track vocals together. This was an amazing experience for us, and Grant’s enthusiasm and firm belief in Amnïon continue to inspire us.

The chemistry was immediate and the vibes flowed naturally. Everyone brought their individuality and different musical backgrounds. We trusted our collaborators completely, allowing them full creative freedom: “just play what feels right—no boundaries, no guidelines.” After a certain period filled with persistent effort, countless Zoom calls, demos, tracks, and performances, the album gradually took shape—a true creative wonder. The collaboration felt almost magical when everyone becomes completely immersed and the music seems to write itself.
