The Mañana People announce that their new album will be released on tape on October 14, 2022! “Song Cycle, Or Music For The End Of Our Times,” the sophomore album of German-Colombian multi-instrumentalist duo The Mañana People, is a further deep dive into their eccentric mixture of Pop sensibilities and Experimental self-sabotage.
Swinging between elements of freak-folk and art-pop, the ten song collection features overlaying minimalistic guitar arrangements, combined with spooky synthesizers and unbound vocal harmonies, which provide an overall lo-fi, filmic aesthetic. The cassette release includes a specially peculiar bonus rendition of ABBA‘s “Souper Trouper.”
