Nearly five years in the making, Mutual Hallucinations is my most ambitious solo work to date. Each song lives in its own universe, and as a whole, the album is restless in exploring sounds that are both familiar and undefinable at the same time.
These recordings have been a true labor of love, often abandoned for long stretches of time between other collaborations and tours, but its moment to shine has arrived. I’ve made most of the sounds on it myself, with some great friends contributing: Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, Mr Mister), Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, The Pineapple Thief), Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, McStine & Minnemann), Nick D’Virgilio (Big Big Train), Adam Holzman (Miles Davis, Steven Wilson), and others. Mixing on all of this work was handled by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), Tim Palmer (Tears for Fears) and Nicholas Morrow (my engineer on the “Blank” album).
