The fruit of eight years of work, “Un Hiver Avec…” was recorded at the Théâtre du Marais under the supervision of Sylvin “Sly” Sévigny. The album is a stoner odyssey at the heart of the cold season, sprinkled with odes to roadside detours carrying the fragrance of dust scorched on the radiator. Raoul Laflèche summed up in five words: Laurentian poetry on heavy. The band stands out for its straight-talking lyrics, melodic riffs with crushing tones, and the atmosphere of a wood stove crackling in the back of the garage. Diving into the world of Raoul Laflèche means letting yourself be carried away by a languid fuzz and a poetry worthy of the finest tales told by that endearing, slightly tipsy uncle who recounts his fondest memories with a tear in his eye.
