Australian Metal keyboardist RO1 returns with a powerful new release, “Sunder” — an album packed with Heavy synth riffs, technical solos, and a unique take on the guitar-dominated world of Progressive Metal and Djent.
Out November 29, 2025, the album features guitarist Lulu De La Rosa, and showcases guest appearances from Rohan Stevenson (I Built The Sky) and Toby Peterson-Stewart (The Omnific), delivering exceptional performances from some of the most respected names in the Progressive Metal scene. The record is topped off with a polished, Heavy, and punchy mix and master by Tom Waller.

Speaking about this new album, keyboardist Rohan Sharma says: “Sunder was written and produced with a stronger emphasis on sound design compared to my previous releases. I was spending hours creating synth patches, using unusual effects pedal chains, field recording and focusing on the sound more than ever before.”
The album elevates core ideas through sonic experimentation. Each track reflects RO1’s continued evolution in technical ability on the keyboard and songwriting, which is now fused with a bold new approach to texture and tone.
Along with the album announcement, RO1 has just released the first single from the record, “Death Hex.” Premiered with a music video filmed in the snowy landscapes of Sweden, this track opens with a dreamy ambient intro, quickly erupting into fast riffs, soaring keyboard solos, and a brutal, FX laden breakdown. “Sunder” is set to be an album that redefines what it means to lead with keyboards in Progressive Metal. With ambitious sound design, elite musicianship, and genre-blurring ideas, RO1 is geared to deliver a sonic journey that’s as innovative as it is unforgettable.
