New York based Instrumental Progressive Rock award-winning composer, guitarist and multi-disciplinary artist, releases the first single and video from his upcoming epic multimedia instrumental album, titled “Brothel Slaughterhouse Soup.” Watch the official music video through the Youtube player below:

The debut single and music video from RoB sBaR’s upcoming release, “Ideological Explosions of the Absurd Hero,” titled “Brothel Slaughterhouse Soup,” is an exploration into surrealism with animation and warping imagery, featuring intense whammy and wah guitar-infused melodies.

Brothel Slaughterhouse Soup” includes RoB sBaR on guitars, Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai) on bass, Alessandro Bertoni (Graham Bonnet Band) on keyboards and Atma Anur (Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Ritchie Kotzen) on drums.

Ideological Explosions of the Absurd Hero” (Aggregate Recordings) is Part 1of a two-part epic multimedia project that combines sound, visual art/illustration, poetry/written and spoken word, functioning as a single creative vision. Itfeatures a wide variety of compositions from intense Rock instrumental guitar music to acoustic pieces, large-scale orchestrations and Avant-Garde Contemporary Classical.

The album also includes performances by Will Calhoun (Living Colour), Mariko Maranka (Madonna, Hans Zimmer, Cirque du Soleil), Jeff Bowders (Paul Gilbert), Cesare Valbusa (Andy Timmons, Tommy Emmanuel, Robben Ford), Jedd Cheblowski (Mike Stern, Vernon Reid) and Mark Feldman (Oz Noy).

RoB sBaR is an accomplished, award-winning composer, guitarist, visual artist and writer focusing on experimental and inventive approaches to multimedia, fusing musical genres within contemporary instrumental guitar music, including contemporary chromatic and post-tonal solo, chamber and orchestral pieces, large-scale orchestral film scores, and fully arranged jazz, rock and fusion.

RoB earned a Master of Arts degree in music composition, studying with world-renowned, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Charles Wuorinen, as well as studying guitar with Pat Martino, Jimmy Bruno and Greg Howe, along with other studies in visual art and contemporary philosophy and literature.

RoB has been featured in publications worldwide and was selected as a Top 5 Finalist in the North American Rock Guitar Competition, presented by Guitar Player magazine and Gibson Guitars. RoB has been commissioned to compose solo, chamber and orchestral works for recordings and performances worldwide and has been featured on film and television, including scores for ABC, NBC, CBS MTV, VH1, Discovery, History Channel, PBS among others.
