They continue their tradition and rely on their tried and tested sound concept. On their album “The Paths Of Time Are Vast,” Black Pyramid work between doom metal and stoner rock with a love of detail and thunderous, sprawling instrumental passages garnished with tempo changes.
Guitarist Andy Beresky plants his vocals in these, and of course the lyrics are also a constant in the trio’s work. The source of cheerfulness bubbles up elsewhere; with Black Pyramid, the apocalypse and the abysses of existence have a permanent home.
