The Argentine underground platform Sabbra Cadabra released in April 2025 a powerful and evocative compilation titled “Psalm 666 – New Wave of Traditional Doom Metal,” featuring a wide selection of emerging and obscure bands from across the international Doom scene.
Psalm 666 emerges as a tribute to the roots of classic Doom Metal. This compilation brings together some of the bands of the current scene, all deeply influenced by the legacy of the great pioneers of the genre: Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Pentagram and other titans that defined the sonic darkness of past decades.
This album is not only a tribute to nostalgia, but an affirmation that Doom Metal is still alive, evolving and growing with a new generation of musicians taking the weight of their heritage and transforming it into something fresh and exciting. New shades of Doom rise up, each with their own twist on the sound, but always keeping the essence: slow and heavy riffs, deep vocals, and an atmosphere that drags you into the bleakest of human existence.
Sabbracadabra continues to prove itself as a passionate curator of the most genuine strains of Doom, giving voice to lesser-known acts while maintaining a strong aesthetic identity across its releases.
