The Austrians from Samsara Joyride have already achieved a lot of positive feedback with their eponymous debut. The follow-up album “The Subtle And The Dense” is now being released via Tonzonen Records. Blues Rock still plays an important role here too, but the overall sound has shifted slightly towards Stoner Rock, effortlessly harmonising the two. This makes the overall sound something special and characterises the varied album.

“The Subtle And The Dense” was recorded in 2023 in the studio of the Haberlgasse music cooperative in Vienna. Compared to the self-released first album, where lead singer and rhythm guitarist Florian Miehe did most of the vocals alone, the new album experimented much more boldly with the use of background voices and vocal harmonies. The guitar sound is dense and, as the album title says, sometimes subtle. The band effortlessly brings styles such as stoner rock and blues rock under one roof. This makes the overall sound something special and characterizes the seven varied songs on the album.
