[News] Santa Planta published the official visualizer for the single “Acid Conclave” taken from upcoming debut album

Three years after the release of their first EP, Madrid-based Stoner/Doom band Santa Planta are preparing to release their first full-length album entitled “From the Trails of Desire,” which will be available on October 12, 2024.

The first single from the album is “Acid Conclave;” a piece that is characterised by its ethereal layers: “undulating mirages from the interior of a desert forgotten millennia ago that contrast with a hard main riff with a cadence that forces you to keep marching until you drop,” in the words of the band.

It’s a track that ‘just when you think you’ve found your place among its compound rhythms, it decides to mercilessly drag you to the bottom of the pyramid where you have no choice but to grimace and nod your head.”

From the Trails of Desire” (title taken from the lyrics of the song Waves) although we are talking about a Doom album, it is also executed as a dance between Psychedelic and Progressive, with abundant long passages that invite introspection, slow and Heavy passages full of layers of fuzz and a good dose of fast riffs and screams of pure sonic catharsis.

The resulting combination manages to be familiar to fans of the genre, but surprise them with less frequent nuances.

Santa Planta is a Madrid born Stoner/Doom band that has been creating neck-breaking riffs since 2018.

The band faced a line-up change after the release of their first EP when the previous bassist, Alex Reduello, unfortunately had to leave the project. Now, though, he has been invited to participate in this project by lending his bass on the band’s eponymous track, “Santa Planta.”

His replacement on the four strings, Guille; the incorporation of keyboards also by Dani and a greater presence of Lola‘s voice lend new textures and a new dimension to this work, in an album that perfectly reflects the imprint of each of its members, as a good example of this, this first advance: “Acid Conclave.”
