Seven studio albums in about twenty years of the band’s history: Siena Root, the leading figures in Swedish Root Rock, have been constantly working on something new, constantly changing their approach and experimenting a lot, not only to keep their music innovative for the fans, but above all to challenge themselves. An open secret and one of the main reasons why the band is still relevant after all these years. In addition to touring with the likes of Deep Purple and Dewolf, the quartet – historic founding members Love Forsberg (drums) and Sam Riffer (bass), joined by guitarist Johan Borgström and the multi-talented Zubaida Solid (vocals, keyboards) – have always brought their highly infectious performance to stages all over the world, which has earned them a legion of rabid fans worldwide. And those who were lucky enough to attend one of Siena Root‘s post-pandemic tour stops know very well how the band spent the inevitable Coronavirus years: recording a brand new album that will finally be released next year via their new label, Atomic Fire Records!

The title of the upcoming record keeps its word: it is a sonic “Revelation” and is the most versatile work of Siena Root‘s long career, guiding listeners through a real journey instead of just putting together one song after another. But that’s not all: the first taste, the new single “Little Burden,” premiered live in 2022, can already be enjoyed along with the music video, edited by Linus Grane, on YouTube.
The band explains: “This is a first taste of Siena Root’s journey in introducing the more acoustic side of the ‘Dynamic Root Rock Experience’. The song is about leaving the city and the experience that comes with it. ‘Little Burden’ is a song that describes the feeling of melancholy and inner struggle you feel when dealing with the arbitrary issues of man and when burdens, no matter how small and insignificant, make you tired and sometimes even poisoned.”
