Icelandic Post-Rock band Sigur Rós have announced their “Átta” Film Experiment, which will see the creation of music videos for all ten tracks from the band’s brand new album by ten different video directors, “without rules or boundaries.” Watch the official video for “8” through the YouTube player below:

Rúrí explained that “8” immediately “connects not only with the present, but also with infinity. A catharsis, smooth, melancholic, powerful and inspiring.” As if that were not enough, in addition to the new clip, the artist created the album cover taken from her performance and installation of her “Rainbow I” from 1983.
For his part, átta is the first record that Sigur Rós has released since Kjartan Sveinsson the band rejoined with jónsi and Georg “Goggi” Holm.
