US Progressive Metal duo Sindar have unveiled the official lyric video for the singles “The Ranger” and “Black Moth,” both taken from their new album, “Tower of the Sun,” released on September 26, 2025 via Belegg Records.

Sindar, the uncompromising and ambitious project formed by multi-instrumentalists Kona Ossana and Christian Lucy, are ready to take the Progressive world by storm with their sophomore album, “Tower of the Sun“. On “Tower of the Sun,” Sindar weaves together gorgeous melodic passages with punishing riffs to create a rich, inspired, dynamic soundscape that improves upon their formula in every way.
Formed in late 2017, Sindar started as a collaboration between Ossana and Lucy, who were both eager to create heavier, more personal music, demonstrated on their debut record, “Splintered Light“. “Tower of the Sun” refines and improves this mission as soaring, ethereal melodies quickly turn to devastating, bone crushing guttural growls in a matter of measures. Partially inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, this album takes on themes such as the struggle between light and dark, death, grief, loss of identity, isolation, and even ritual sacrifice, all to the cinematic backdrop of Sindar’s incredible blend of heaviness and melodicism.
With the assistance of acclaimed Metal producer Dan Swanö (Opeth, Katatonia, Edge of Sanity, Bloodbath), Sindar has created an intricate, gorgeous, brutal record that is sure to make waves in the Metal world.
“On this album, we wanted every riff and every lyric to hit harder,” says Ossana. “It’s heavier, it’s darker, and it’s the most personal thing we’ve ever done.”
From the relentless assault of “Eclipse” to the haunting ballad “Nightingale” (based loosely on the story of Beren and Luthien) and the triumphant chaos of “Inheritance,” Sindar proves that two musicians can create a world as vast as any full ensemble.
