Well this never happens… The vinyl for the new Smokey Brights EP shipped early! This EP will be available for streaming & download on January 20th of next year, but you can hear it early by picking up an early-release vinyl.
“Broken Too” is about healing, which has been a big theme for us this year,” said Smokeys. “It’s an album about looking into the darkest places in ourselves and trying to find the light. Side A is a sheer head rush, featuring the Kim-led rockers Ocean Shores and Fancy Ketchup, while side B features Smokeys at our most introspective with Child of Noise, Broken Too and One of Everything. The EP was beautifully recorded by Sam Rosson and Andy Park, and features some drumming help from our friend James Squires. This record will make you headbang, dance, laugh, and weep, all in under 20 minutes. Seriously, we can’t wait for you to hear it.”
Celebrate the record release with Freakout and Smokey Brights at our beloved Tractor tavern in Seattle on Saturday Jan 28, at Holocene in Portland on Jan 19th. Tickets are now on sale for both –look out for more Northwest release shows being announced soon!
