Spanish Progressive Post-Rock/Metal act SomeWhereOut released the single “The Sword” taken from their new album “Providence” out no September 19, 2024. Stream the track through the YouTube player below:
“Providence” is the new LP by SomeWhereOut, the Progressive Rock and Metal project of guitarist and composer Raúl Lupiáñez from Málaga. This album is a journey through the darkest human emotions, taking as inspiration tales and stories that influenced the cosmic horror writer Howard Phillip Lovecraft. Musically, this time the inspiration is sought in the darkest and most visceral part, resulting more direct and metallic than previous albums. Even so, the
influences of the most Classic Progressive rock and the music of composers such as Maurice Ravel, Erik Satie or Franz Liszt are still present.
Raúl Lupiáñez was born in Málaga. Since he was a child he showed interest in music, specially the guitar. At the age of fourteen he debuted with his first live rock band and since then he has explored rock and guitar in different
projects (Perfect Crime, Edar, MeninBand, StereOzono…). He currently combines his work as a composition teacher with his rock band 41 Ravens, his Progressive Rock project SomeWhereOut and other collaborations.
