More than four years had passed since Saturna from Barcelona released “Atlantis,” their last full-length album. A lot had happened since then and their members had evolved a lot musically, something palpable from the first listen to “Your Whimsical Selfishness” and “The Never Ending Star,”the two advance singles from “The Reset,” their recently released new studio album.
This new Saturna release arrives today, Friday 1 December, on Spinda Records and Discos Macarras – who co-released their previous album – and is immediately considered their best work to date and also their most varied in terms of compositions, although always moving in areas halfway between Hard Rock, Psychedelia, Post-Grunge and Heavy-Rock, as the band themselves pointed out in their recent interviews for Bienvenidos a los 90 and Siete Barbas Estudio, where they performed live “Smile” and “The Never Ending Star,” both songs from their new album.
“[…] we are very happy with the result achieved for this new album. On it you will find a mix of 70’s hard rock and psychedelia, but also acoustic moments and other moments with killer riffs. We really feel that this fifth album is our most eclectic, and we can’t wait for you to hear it […].”
