After the release of the single “The Patient: Fray” in late fall of last year, their first release since their 2016 acclaimed debut album “This Clear Divide,” Australian Progressive Metal act Stare at the Clouds is back with their second single “Gravity” from forthcoming album “The Veil.”
Stare At The Clouds release their new song, “Gravity,” exploring the devastating moment a couple learns of a dementia diagnosis and realising that life as they know it has changed forever. Written from the perspectives of both the patient and their spouse, the song captures the heartbreak, reassurance, grief and enduring love that coexist in the immediate aftermath of life-changing news.
Guest vocalist Liv Mirrington brings greater depth to the story as the voice of the spouse, standing alongside the patient throughout this ordeal. Their intertwined performances are at once mournful and defiant, wrestling with the weight of the diagnosis, and an uncertain future.
