Turku, Finland based Progressive Metal band Sum Of Seven have unveiled full band playthough video for “I Think, I Am” taken from their new concept album, “Echoes of the Hypermind,” released on May 15, 2026 via Inverse Records.

With “Echoes of the Hypermind,” Sum of Seven deliver their most ambitious and fully realized statement to date. The album blends intricate Progressive musicianship with emotional depth, combining soaring melodies, sharp-edged riffs, and layered conceptual storytelling into a cohesive and immersive listening experience.
Fans of Haken, Threshold, and VOLA will find familiar touchpoints, but Sum of Seven continue to define a sound that is distinctly their own, built on dynamics, atmosphere, and Technical precision.
Originally formed in Turku under the name Sonus Corona, the band began as a casual project among friends before quickly evolving into a serious creative force. Their 2019 release “Time Is Not On Your Side” brought early recognition.
The band’s momentum was later tested by a series of setbacks, including the global pandemic, lineup changes, and a major personal tragedy in 2024 when guitarist and primary composer Ari Lempinen was seriously injured during the final stages of the album’s creation.
Despite these challenges, Sum of Seven chose to continue.
With new vocalist Marko Loukamaa joining the lineup and the band reestablishing its creative core, they returned to the stage in September 2025 for a packed hometown performance in Turku, marking a powerful resurgence.
“Echoes of the Hypermind” reflects that journey, resilience, and renewed focus. It stands as both a continuation and a reinvention of the band’s vision, shaped by adversity and driven by persistence.
Sum of Seven are not just returning. They are moving forward with intent.
