Polish ’70s inspired heavy Rockers Taxi Caveman released the new stand-alone single “What a day” feat. Macias, out on December 28, 2022. Stream the track through the YouTube player below:
The song “What a day” was created during the band’s first recording session. It didn’t make it onto the debut album, because it didn’t fit stylistically a bit, and we wanted to spice it up a bit with the right vocals. We contacted Maciek, whom we knew from Krakow’s Purple Haze Ensemble, and after some time he provided us with recorded vocals treating us to a space cab trip from the perspective of the driver, who is carrying David B himself.
Everything made sense for a while, and after a few cosmetic adjustments (like recording a new bass), we’re ready to share this piece with you.
Musically, the composition is based on a guitar part that I came up with a couple of years ago and kept, to one day use in a potential hit a’la Fleetwood Mac hehe.
In this case, more Fleetwood Mac meets Brant Bjork 🙂 At least that was our intention.
Whether it worked out, you’ll have to judge for yourselves.
