The Chronicles of Father Robin is a Norwegian Progressive Rock band consisting of members from the bands Wobbler, Tusmørke, Jordsjø and The Samuel Jackson Five.
The band plays an eclectic, adventurous and melodious form of progressive rock firmly rooted in the different explorative music scenes of the late 60’s and early 70’s. The fellowship was formed in 1993 and grew out of a joint interest in folk tales, mythology, fantasy literature and our parents vinyl collections. Over a span of 30 years the has band conceived their brainchild; the 3 album opus of Father Robin and his travels in the mythical world of Airoea.
“Once, in 1993, three friends sowed a seed that in 30 years time would become a full grown tree. Nurtured on adolescent hubris, strong tea and our parents vinyl collections, we created a conceptual world filled with music and stories.
Our journey consists of 17 songs and together they tell the tale of Father Robin and his travels in Airoea. But it’s also a tale of you and me in the grasp of nature and the myths we create along the path. Balancing on a thin line between joy, destruction and transformation.
On Friday June 23rd we will celebrate the release with a lavish Meet & Greet at the record store Big Dipper in downtown Oslo. We will do a mini concert, sign your boxes and have a drink together. Come and celebrate with us!
