16 OCTOBER 2021 (LONDON, UK) – The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara announce the release of their new single, ‘The Prophet’, due to be released as a single on 26 November, with an accompanying video to follow on 2 December. The track is the second single from the duo’s forthcoming second studio album, Trust No Leaders, due 2022.

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara:The recent years have made us truly think about the fragility of human life and society. “The Prophet” is a tribute to Sylvia Plath’s poem, Lady Lazarus. The song is told through the eyes of an advanced Artificial intelligence robot, who is “resurrected” like the biblical Lazarus, but this time, with a destructive super-intelligence created by human beings, only to wreak havoc upon her creators. “The Prophet” petitions for the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence technologies, in order to protect our existence as species – as well as our consciousness. To reiterate Stephen Hawking’s warning about the rise in artificial intelligence, “It will either be the best thing that’s ever happened to us, or it will be the worst thing. If we’re not careful, it may well may be the last thing.

About The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara:

Hailed as “pioneers of a new form of expression” through the performance of poetry in music, The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) are a UK-based duo comprising Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy) who came together in London in early 2020.

Based out of the heart of London’s vibrant Rock scene in Camden Town, London, the duo’s debut album “Full Spectrum” released on February 26, 2021, fills a gap in music by bringing literature, theatre, and history together, fusing rock, metal and electronic music with poetry performance.
