The group comments: “All the members of Horror Legacy are big fans of 70s progressive rock. Among the various exponents of the genre certainly a place of honor is occupied by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, whose keyboardist (Keith Emerson) has been a source of inspiration for various musicians, even in the field of horror soundtracks. Not everyone knows that Keith has also tried his hand successfully in composing soundtracks, among which certainly the best known is the one for the film ‘Inferno’ by Dario Argento.
Among the tracks certainly stand out ‘Inferno’, which accompanies the opening credits, centered on sweet piano arpeggios that gradually draw an increasingly disturbing atmosphere, and ‘Mater Tenebrarum’ for the closing credits, a march with a classical style. and threatening, dominated by a mighty section of opera choirs that praise the ‘Mater Tenebrarum’, the true protagonist of Argento’s film. In our tribute, supported by some guest voices, we chose a medley between the two aforementioned songs, rearranged in a more modern and ‘heavier’ key than the original versions, but keeping the spirit that permeates Emerson’s scores unchanged.”
The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Giuseppe Ranieri, Roberto Fasciani and Titta Tani at MMI Roma Studio.
Many guests are involved: maestro Fabio Frizzi, one of the greatest composers of horror films, bassist/keyboardist Dave Neabore of the American band Dog Eat Dog, Japanese keyboardist Mirai Kawashima from Sigh and ex Necrophagia, Stian Smorholm (aka Iscariah) , ex bassist of the Norwegian Black Metal band Immortal, as well as ex Necrophagia and Dead To This World, Chuck Sherwood, bassist of Incantation, and Dome of Fulci.

The Horror Legacy was born from an idea of Giacomo Anselmi, guitarist of Goblin Rebirth, and of Titta Tani, ex drummer of Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin and of the American Death Metal band Necrophagia, with the intention of creating a sound experience of the mold. horror/cinematic.
Shortly thereafter, bassist Roberto Fasciani (Fabio Frizzi) and keyboardist Pasquale Renna joined the project.
The band’s next concerts will be a journey of about two hours that will review themes and sounds of iconic films such as “Caliber 9,” “Deep Red,” “Suspiria,” “Blade Runner,” “The Beyond,” “Rosemary’s Baby” and many others.
For the booking of live dates, The Horror Legacy recently signed up for Route One Booking.
