The Messina-based Hard Rock artist Alkàmael returns five years after his latest release (the 2020 single Turn Around), and he does so in grand style. The new single, titled “Hollow Pain,” marks a fresh new chapter in the career of the Sicilian musician.
Over the past few years, Alkàmael has dedicated himself to mastering the English language and pronunciation, while his sound has evolved from Classic Rock to Hard Rock, enriched with Blues influences.
Also a film director and producer, he is the founder of Swordfish Production. Alkàmael personally directs his music videos, turning them into works that merge sound and vision through symbols, archetypes, and esoteric elements — aiming to strike deep into the listener’s soul.
The new single “Hollow Pain” is accompanied by a music video directed by Alkàmael himself. Watch it via the YouTube player below:
The track was recorded at Abby Rocchi Studio in Rome, with Fabio Ferri as recording engineer. It was mixed by Joe Carrell and mastered by John Mayfield at Mayfield Studio Mastering in Nashville, TN. “Hollow Pain” is a dark and visceral track that captures the inner struggle we all face: the silent battle with hidden demons and the emptiness within. Yet it is also a powerful outcry against domestic violence and child abuse. Based on the true story of two young friends torn apart by a tragic event, the song becomes memory, resistance, and voice — a wound transformed into strength, a scream transformed into music.
Alkàmael is an artist operating at the intersection of Hard Rock, cinema, and esotericism. A singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, he fuses the raw power of Rock with a visionary and spiritual imagination, shaped by years of study in occult sciences, the Kabbalah, and psychoacoustics.
His artistic path is a quest to explore sound as an energetic and spiritual force. Influenced by Brian Eno, he has developed an approach that treats frequencies — such as tuning to 432 Hz — as tools for creation and even sonic divination. For him, music is never merely technique or entertainment, but an alchemical process that translates inner vibrations into tangible experiences.
Alkàmael sings exclusively in English, believing that Rock should remain tied to its original language. He has lived in the United States, working in film, and in England, where he honed his English language skills and diction. There, he spent years performing on the streets alongside musicians from all backgrounds, shaping his sound and artistic identity. Many bands and record labels seek him as a reference point to transform their own sound. Thanks to his knowledge of sound, esotericism, and psychoacoustics, Alkàmael crafts a unique sonic identity for every project, creating vibrations that resonate deeply within the listener.
