One-man Doom Metal act from England Thy Listless Heart unveil a new lyric video for “Aefnian”, the song that appears on the band’s debut record “Pilgrims On The Path Of No Return” released in November 2022 via Hammerheart Records. Watch the video through the YouTube player below:
Statement from Thy Listless Heart: “Aefnian” is the shortest and possibly the most diverse song on Pilgrims On The Path Of No Return. It features a Kravik Lyre, a lap harp and female vocals courtesy of my daughter, Alana. The song is further elevated by a breathtaking performance from Ella Zlotos on low whistles.
If you watch the video carefully you’ll discover a bungee jumping spider and also, right at the very end, an appearance from my grandson, Caleb.
This song is less doom metal and more dark folk mixed with dead can dance, but whatever it is, I’m happy to present this lyric video which hopefully works as a simple visual accompaniment to the song. Thanks once again for your support and please let me know your thoughts on the song and video.“
