BMG is pleased to announce the continuation of Uriah Heep picture vinyl reissues. On February 25, 2022, “Demons and Wizards” and “The Magician’s Birthday” will be released, both with artwork by Roger Dean.
Originally released in May 1972 “Demons and Wizards” includes the singles “The Wizard” and “Easy Livin‘.” At the time of the release Rolling Stone wrote “a hellish rock band of the first order“.
Only six months later, in November 1972, Uriah Heep released their fifth album, entitled “The Magician’s Birthday,” which contains the hits “Sweet Lorraine” and “Spider Woman.” Both albums were certified gold in the US to the Billboard Top 40 and both albums were recorded at Landsdowne studios.
The reprints of “Demons and Wizards” and “The Magician’s Birthday” follow the reprints of “… Very ‘Eavy … Very’ Umble” and “Salisbury,” available from January 28, 2022. Pre-orders are available below:

British Hard Rock legends Uriah Heep are one of the “big four” Rock bands, along with Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, and certainly one of the most intriguing bands both musically and lyrically to ever emerge from the rock scene. With over 40 million copies sold over the years, Uriah Heep have influenced countless metal bands from all over the world, including Ronnie James Dio.
