Mexican Cosmic Doom act Vinnum Sabbathi unveil the official full stream for their new EP “Intersatelital,” released on June 17, 2025 via Stolen Body Records/Teschio Dischi. Stream the full EP via the YouTube player below:
The label states:
History has been made today! Vinnum Sabbathi’s Intersatelital EP is officially out, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
Today marks exactly 40 years since June 17th, 1985 – the day Mexico launched into the space age with the Morelos I & II satellite missions and sent Dr. Rodolfo Neri Vela as the country’s first astronaut into orbit. This isn’t just a new release – it’s a sonic commemoration of one of the most important moments in Mexican space exploration history.
The band specifically chose today to honor the exact anniversary of NASA missions STS-51-G and STS-61-B, which put Mexico’s communications satellites in orbit and marked the country’s entry into a new era of technology.
THREE CRUSHING TRACKS:
Centro de Control Espacial
Sistema de Satélites Morelos
Rodolfo Neri Vela
The EP features actual samples from Dr. Neri Vela himself, creating what the band describes as “a sonic testament of intricate human-machine comradeship from the last century.” Recorded at Testa Estudio in León, Mexico, with stunning artwork by Indonesian artist Asep Yasin Abdulah.
