The Swiss Zeal & Ardor are moving forward towards the release of their third self-titled album, with the release of the new epic and evocative song “Golden Liar.” Stream the single through the YouTube player below:
Frontman Manuel Gagneux states: “‘Golden Liar’ is one of the songs on this record that I’m most proud of. Unlike the previously released singles from the new album, it’s a slow burn. Rather than using harsh tones to convey power, he uses the texts and the atmosphere to convey solemnity. It is both smoke and fire.“
Spitting and spouting legitimate anger from every pore – but not with merciless musical battering – the new album will be released on February 11, 2022 on MVKA. The 14-song opera was recorded by Marc Obrist and Manuel Gagneux at Hutch Sounds and mixed and mastered by Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio. All the songs were written and performed (except the drums) by the soft-toned multilingual frontman Gagneux.
The Avant-Garde alchemists have gradually shared the highly anticipated album with fans, constantly revealing new tracks over the past few months. These include “Run,” “Erase,” “Bow,” and more recently, the ferocious “Götterdämmerung.”
