Dry Vein is a German Dirty Psych-Blues Rock band that released a single in 2021 and debuted EP “Vena Secca” on April 03, 2022. Containing 3 long-running tracks, spanning between 5:57 and over 7 minutes. The opener “Bullseye” immediately immerses us in the sounds of the band with dirty and hard guitar riffs and a solid and powerful rhythm session with load-bearing bass lines. The vocal is warm and expressive and the piece develops over continuous tempo changes, alternating sung parts and long instrumental sections. Skilled in combining the traditional sounds of the genre with a modern touch and their own personal traits, creating an energetic and engaging track. The longest track of the album “Fever” continues on the sounds of the previous one with granite guitar riffs and a solid rhythm session. The deep bass lines are supportive for the sound, as well as the warm and expressive vocals, developing the song with continuous tempo changes. We move from softer moments to openings where the band brings out all its energy and power, mixing Psychedelic traits with a touch of Dirty Blues, enhancing the personal technique of the artists involved. This EP ends with “Hang Them In The Morning Sun” a song with the most modern sounds, combining the Neo Psychedelia with the Blues traits of the band. Refined guitar textures and a solid and elaborate rhythm session, enhancing the personal traits of the band, able to bring to the present day the atmosphere of the Psych-Blues of the late 60s. A good debut for this band that offers an EP with 3 solid and engaging tracks, which enhance the personal traits and technique of the artists involved.
