Golden Sunbird is an Australian project with a Cosmic Psychedelic Rock sound. The new EP “Inner Landscapes // Outer Worlds” was released on August 09, 2023 and contains 7 tracks including a 10+ minute epic. The journey into the boundless space of the band’s sounds takes us to explore the different facets of their music. A fine blend of layered sounds, effects and modulations skilfully used to take us on this intergalactic journey into the deepest space. The retro imprinting is mixed with the more modern traits of the genre, thanks to the band’s personal style, which combines analogue and electronic sounds with mastery. Incursions into early New Age, through electronica and of course a massive dose of Cosmic Psychedelia permeate the sound of the EP. The atmospheres are very dilated, with at times minimal passages in which an attentive ear can discern details and particulars with every listen. The tracks that have been released as singles are added to other unreleased tracks, making up an intense tracklist from start to finish. Both the shorter tracks and those with a longer track length allow the sound concept of the project to be developed to its fullest, enhancing details and highly sought-after ideas. A listen that shows how one can take inspiration and evolve one’s own personal sound, remaining faithful to the genre but inserting one’s own personal character and style.
