https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYOz18D-wLk&ab_channel=KentandSussexRecordsThe Deadest Hour, Rock and Psychedelic outfit from the Weald of Kent, are thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated third studio album, “Dust to Dust.” This latest offering showcases a more stripped-down sound, featuring fewer sonic overdubs compared to their previous albums, “Return to Anderida” and “Music for an English Afternoon.” With eight beautifully performed and captivating tracks of all original songwriting, “Dust to Dust” delves deep into the band’s reflection and contemplation, revealing a raw and powerful expression of emotions.
The album presents The Deadest Hour in a new light. The mature and finely written songs on “Dust to Dust” embody a range of emotions, from anger to dismay, as the band navigates the complexities of life, love, and the passage of time. This philosophical journey is perfectly encapsulated in the album’s stripped-back but immense sound, graced by strong and sensitive vocals, a world class lead guitar performance, and a rhythm section brought up on the Experience, The Who and Led Zep.

Bio:
The Deadest Hour – Gram Swan, Jake Weekes, Marcus Weekes and Nick Litherland, four life-long friends, two of which are brothers, started their journey together in the mid-80s as the Rock, Blues and Psyche influenced Contraband. Gram moved on in ’86 and with a new singer at the helm Contraband morphed through The Moonshot Blues Band before finally settling on The Moonshots.
The Moonshots spent the next 10 years playing to great success throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
Marcus moved on from that band in the late 90s and in ’99 teamed up with Gram again for a selection of projects, most notably Hell Drivers.
During this time Jake and Nick together and apart became involved in many differing musical projects of Blues, Rock, Boogie, Acoustic, Psyche and more.
Then, in 2016 the almost inevitable happened and Gram, Jake, Marcus and Nick regrouped to become The Deadest Hour, a band name that came from a song they’d written back in ’85, a song included on the debut album 2017’s “Return to Anderida.”
This album was followed by 2019’s “Music for an English Afternoon,” and now in 2023 the band have released their latest offering, “Dust to Dust.”

Thank you for this, all the best from Kent and Sussex Records and The Deadest Hour.
You’re Welcome
