Built on hypnotic percussion, saturated grooves and a raw vocal delivery, “Doombia Viene” moves like a danceable invocation. The Spanish refrain — “La Doombia viene para ti y toda la gente bailando aquí” — reinforces the communal, celebratory mood, while its English counterpart (“Doombia’s coming for you / And there ain’t nothin’ you can do”) injects a mischievous, tongue-in-cheek attitude into the track.
Doombia describe their sound as “a little Cumbia mixed with Blues and Doom guitars, infused with Peruvian Chicha and rooted in Afro-Colombian rhythms,” and this single embodies that formula in full.
The lineup features Brendan Deiz (vocals, guitar, “death whistle”), Koby Haigerty (drums), Celeste Wright (bass), and Nate Wright (congas and percussion).
